As Executive Director of iMpact Utah, Winthrop (Win) Jeanfreau helps executives grow and scale their businesses through continuous improvement, revenue growth and effective leadership. A serial entrepreneur, Win built the world’s fastest-growing Shred-It franchise in Portland, Oregon, and founded, grew and sold an e-commerce audio business, among others. Since moving to Utah, Win has focused on growing the state’s economy as the Director of Executive Education at Utah Valley University, as the Director of the Utah Valley Business Resource Center, and now through iMpact Utah. Win holds an MBA from the University of Oregon and a bachelor’s degree in Organizational Communications from the University of Utah. Though his most valuable education has come from building and operating companies in diverse industries.
Rick Papworth

As a long-distance runner in college, Rick Papworth learned the value of quality training, a principle that has served him well throughout his life. After working in public accounting at Deloitte, Rick helped fast-growing companies fund and scale their success by driving EBITDA growth, tuning balance sheet and cash flow management, and optimizing asset utilization. Through these experiences, he became fluent in finance, strategy, and operations. Rick went on to be the CFO and head of operations for several publicly traded companies, including large manufacturers. As president of iMpact Utah, Rick enjoys coaching clients directly and through talented client service partners. Rick earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees in accounting from Brigham Young University with an emphasis in taxation.

When Steve Jobs was asked to reinvent Apple, he tapped Dano Ybarra on the shoulder to help. Dano presented the plan to launch the now $60B per year Apple stores. An entrepreneur at heart, Dano has launched businesses in 15 countries worldwide and is an expert in starting and growing business both domestically and internationally. His experience spans various fields, including general management, marketing, sales, product management, P&L oversight, strategic business development, M&A, and operations. Dano is also the best selling author of Guiding Your Raft: 17 Lessons in Leadership to Safely Guide Your Business Through Calm and Tumultuous Waters, with copies available in both English and Spanish. As an international speaker, he has presented to audiences across eight countries, from a few dozen in attendance to thousands. Dano has a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science.

For the last 30 years, Chris has spent her career working in diverse industries, partnering with hundreds of organizations, helping them “improve the way they improve”. She has built her career around the practice that good leaders plan for the right culture. Chris has partnered with organizations from Fortune 100 to two-man shops and provides practical experience that ranges from the shop floor to the boardroom. She has facilitated 16 organizational transformations in the past 20 years, has spoken internationally in 8 countries, authored over 50 global publications and is one of only 34 Shingo Licensed Affiliates in the world. She has served on various boards, including ASQ’s, the world’s largest and most well-known professional quality association. As COO of iMpact Utah, Chris is dedicated to cultivating a culture that produces results—both within iMpact Utah and with every one of our clients. In addition to her extensive experience, Chris holds an MBA and a BSBA in Business and Project Management in addition to numerous certifications in areas of quality, project management, HR, supply chain and Lean Six Sigma.
Nicole Simister

Manufacturing was the family business for Nicole Simister. Early in her career, Nicole was a fourth-generation cement plant worker at a 100-year-old Utah company. After earning a degree in civil and environmental engineering from Utah State University, she worked with processes that used industrial waste streams as alternative fuel. The daughter of a welder and maintenance worker, Nicole enjoys talking shop and helping executives understand frontline workers’ technical needs. As the director of Utah’s Manufacturing Extension Partnership (MEP) center, Nicole helped the state grow its manufacturing sector, including clean industries like aerospace, food, high-tech and medical devices. As director of client engagements at iMpact Utah, she helps businesses produce results by connecting them to the right resources and tools.
Brian Anderson

After joining iMpact Utah to lead the company’s PR and communication needs, Brian Anderson switched to developing client relationships for the company’s services and has never looked back. A people person at heart, Brian enjoys working one-on-one with business owners and frontline workers to help them reach their individual goals. He also enjoys getting a “behind-the-scenes” look at a wide variety of companies. Understanding what they do — and how they do it — helps Brian recommend solutions for achieving their goals. Brian loves showing the world what Utah’s entrepreneurs and business leaders are building. Brian holds a bachelor’s degree in Communication from Southern Utah University.

Throughout his accomplished career, Forrest Fackrell has demonstrated a passion for partnering with people to create value. Whether it’s been working in aerospace, the automotive industry, higher education or healthcare, he has provided leadership across all aspects of business, including product development and lean manufacturing, tech transfer, operations, finance, and sales. Forrest even built a successful family entertainment center business as an entrepreneur. At iMpact Utah, he draws on his diverse professional experience to direct client engagements and help companies achieve their goals. Key to Forrest’s collaborative approach is his ability to anticipate opportunities and challenges and design solutions for them. Forrest earned his bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Utah State University and his MBA from University of Phoenix.

His experience in the manufacturing “battlefield” has given him a deep and unique understanding of the obstacles iMpact Utah’s clients are experiencing. Throughout her career, Cindy Wandry has been committed to learning. Cindy earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Pre-Medicine/Pre-Medical studies from Brigham Young University (BYU). Upon graduation, she crossed the country to attend The Florida Institute of Ultrasound where she became a registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer and Ultrasound Technician. As she moved into the corporate world, Cindy’s passion for studying continued. While working in a variety of office management roles, she became a certified Life Coach and attained certifications in Neuro-Linguistic Programming, Personal Training and more. Today, Cindy is iMpact Utah’s Mary Poppins. The knowledge and training she has attained over the years have given her the skills and tools she needs to solve any issue that arises. Cindy’s life-long drive and diverse knowledge makes her the perfect fit for iMpact Utah, where she strives to support her team so that they can provide best-in-class support to Utah’s manufacturers and rural businesses.
