The Manufacturer Extension Partnership (MEP) Network is how the National Institute of Standards and Technologies (NIST)—a federal agency of the U.S. government—gets funding to businesses in order to fuel local economies across the country.
Meet The Team
The Utah MEP was established in the late 1990s, with the University of Utah serving as the host organization.
It was created as part of a nationwide effort to strengthen U.S. manufacturing in the face of global competition, especially from foreign manufacturers.
First and foremost, the MEP is there to provide assistance, training, and expertise to Utah's manufacturing sector, particularly SMEs, to enhance their productivity, quality, and competitiveness.
Impact Utah was established soon after the MEP and has been partnering with them to transform businesses for over two decades.
Our goals and those of the Utah MEP are one and the same: to help Utah businesses thrive.
